The American Institute of Architects (AIA) is a professional organization representing the interests of American architects. The AIA has over 74,000 licensed architects, emerging professionals, and allied partners who express their commitment to excellence in design and liveability in our nation's buildings and communities.

The UK chapter of the AIA was the first international chapter of the AIA and has 250 members in the UK; representing many architectural practices and educators both in London and internationally. Part of our mandate is to provide continuing education to our professional members and the wider London architectural community. We believe that it is of prime importance to bring people and ideas together.

We have several annual events including a Student Design Charrette, Design Awards, Key Note Lecture, and a Saturday Lecture Series in addition we organize informal building tours and lectures thought-out the year. All of our events are open to members of the AIA and the general public.
