Art & Architecture (A&A) is an independent association providing an infrastructure to enable cross-discipline collaborations. It is a unique organisation providing debate and opportunities in order to create a more inspirational environment.
Founded in 1982, A&A continues to bring together forward thinking professionals from a wide variety of disciplines, to engage in open public debate. It has maintained its independent position as a leading platform for discussion through its website and lecture and events programme, encouraging creative dialogue between architects, engineers, planners, developers and artists.
Membership of Art & Architecture provides an opportunity to contribute to an informed international network influencing the future of the built environment. Members currently receive copies of the Art & Architecture Journal, gain free access to the Practitioners' Network and benefit from discounted entry to all of our events.
A&A is a voluntary organisation funded by membership subscription, and the energy and direction of A&A is directly dependent on the enthusiasm and interests of the membership. A&A is an open structure, and all voices are welcomed.
A&A receives the support of a distinguished list of patrons, including Will Alsop, Alan Baxter, Sir Anthony Caro, Richard Cork, Charles Jencks and Sir Richard MacCormac.
